Paydays & Portals

On July 1st, 2021, the landscape of college athletics changed forever.  This date marked the moment college athletes became eligible for NIL sponsorships. Alongside the transfer portal, NIL revolutionized every aspect of college athletics. This mini documentary addresses the age old question: Should college athletes be paid? After 2 years of research, interviews, and analysis, I compounded my thoughts and opinions with my childhood love of sports to come to a conclusion.

Freshman Year

This 2-hour documentary chronicles the first-year college experience for myself and some of my fellow GCU students from around the country. As young adults suddenly facing life far from the people and places that had been our safety nets for 18 years, this film shows how we learn to give up control of our lives and trust God to give us growth outside our comfort zones. Best 8 months of my life… check out this trailer!

Social Media (Short-form content)

These days, attention spans are lower than ever. Sometimes all you have is a few seconds to catch someone’s attention. I have worked alongside many artists and creators to make entertaining and captivating social media videos aimed at entertaining and educating faster than you can say “Houston we have a problem”. I pride myself in my ability to produce both long form and short form content and love working alongside creators to create their ideal video. Camera shy? I am happy to jump in front of the camera for a change and put my positive personality on display, as I did for the “Hidden Valley Golf Tournament Promo”.

SuperBold Podcast

Through my time at Grand Canyon University I got to connect with awesome students who have a passion for media. One of my favorite collaborations from those years is with the guys over at SuperBold Podcast. This merchandise promo video tells their story. I am blessed to work with SuperBold to this day as Head Editor.

The Gabe McGlothan Story

Former GCU Men’s Basketball Player and current Denver Nuggets Power Forward Gabe McGlothan has had quite the journey. As Head Editor of the Gabe McGlothan YouTube channel, I’ve had the honor and privilege of following Gabe on his basketball journey, but more importantly, watching Gabe put his Faith first in everything he does. “Ep. 1 | The Pen & the Paper” invites audiences to join in watching Gabe as he pursues the NBA while ultimately giving God the pen.

Gabe McGlothan Season One

In season 1 of the Gabe McGlothan YouTube channel, I was able to capture the essence of Gabe’s faithfulness in Christ as he pursues his basketball dreams. Listed here are four episodes from season 1 that all capture a different part of Gabe’s journey at GCU and beyond. Watch him overcome frustrating injuries and make history as a Grand Canyon University Antelope, see his faith on display in the Bahamas, and watch him grow into a player competing on and off the court of basketball’s biggest stage. As head editor, my responsibilities are the production of all video content including full episodes, teasers, reels, and more. Alongside video editing, I am also heavily involved in the writing, storyboarding, marketing, and advertising aspects of the channel.

Backslope Inc. Pursuit 120

Partnering with Backslope Inc., we created a 90 second commercial showcasing their brand new spreader and sprayer: The Pursuit 120. Collaborations like this allow me to use my creative personality to bring a business or brand’s ideas to life quickly and effectively. This process typically consists of 5 stages: Outreach, pre-production, filming, post-production, and distribution. I am motivated by helping others tell their unique stories. I know little about lawn care equipment, but I do know a lot about taking someone’s vision and making it a reality.
